Altitude Group intends to galvanise a Nigerian and African commercial response to the perennial problem of insufficient supply of medical disposables and personal protective equipment.
With a passion for resolving the ongoing crisis and our abundance of experience in the supply of protective equipment across a range of sectors, we are confident that we can set up a facility for the manufacture and distribution of medical disposables. While skilled manpower and machinery are the greatest challenges faced, we believe these problems can be overcome with adequate funding.
The Altitude Group intends to take advantage of the virtual absence of locally produced medical disposables in Nigeria which results in periodic shortages especially when most needed (as revealed at the height of COVID-19 lockdowns). It seeks to construct a state-of-the-art turnkey medical disposables manufacturing plant in Nigeria specializing in the production and distribution of PPEs to serve the country and the continent’s health and industrial needs. The constructed Plant will manufacture a wide range of medical disposables such as syringes, coveralls, hand gloves, face masks, aprons, respirators, shoe covers, etc. The project also aims to promote youth employment; facilitate technology transfer between developed and developing countries; decentralize the global supply chain for medical disposables; improve preparedness of the Nigerian healthcare sector for present and future health crises; and make Nigeria a continental hub for the manufacture of medical consumables. A total investment size of about N4.33 billion is required for what is intended to become the largest producer and supplier of medical disposables on the continent, and a significant global supplier. Initial product lines will include coveralls, surgical masks, face masks, hand gloves and syringes produced and sold under adequate technical partnerships, global best practices, and operating strategies that are suitable for the peculiarities of the Nigerian and African markets.
