Public address and general alarm solution (PAGA)

The public address and general alarm (PA/GA) system supports broadcast of routine and emergency voice announcements and emergency alarm tones. As a primary safety system, the PA/GA system is designed to provide a robust public address and general alarm system for use throughout required areas. The public address functions include broadcasting of live speech announcements from Access Panels (AP) or local cabinet microphones across all or selected areas of the facility. The general alarm functions include the broadcasting of pre‐recorded alarm tones or voice messages across all or selected areas of the facility in response to alarm conditions, initiated manually or by third party automatic equipment (Such as fire and gas detection, process monitoring or other safety monitoring systems). The system is supplemented by visual indication via beacons, status lamps, etc., as required. Duplicated processors, comprehensive fault monitoring and automatic re‐routing of audio signals to bypass failed components provides a robust system architecture.

The system can be accessed from the System Manager server that can be included in the cabinet with the system. This server can also be accessed remotely from any computer that has network access to the System Manager IP network. in addition, the system can be accessed using external access panels and microphone stations.

The external control inputs from a fire and gas detection, process monitoring or other safety monitoring systems can interface directly to the PAGA System cabinets, with redundant node alarm activation via native support redundancy A‐B.
